Manager Onkwani Terminated by San Antonio River Bandits
Monday, January 14th , 2064
San Antonio is now without a skipper after the announcement of manager Lemn Onkwani's firing earlier today.
Sources close to the River Bandits are saying that Onkwani had lost the confidence of the players and had allowed apathy and selfishness to take over the clubhouse.
The San Antonio front office was unavailable for comment on the matter other than to confirm the manager's firing.
A BNN poll done immediately after the announcement went public showed fan reaction seems mixed.
"Glad that bum is gone," said one disgruntled fan. Several others were displeased with the decision, telling reporters, "Onkwani did the best he could with the talent and money he had."
No timetable has been set by the team for announcing a replacement.
