Ambition Advance to Triple A World Series
Tuesday, October 12th , 2060
The championship aspirations of the Indianapolis Ambition are still alive and well, while the Peoria Caterpillars are left to wait until next year.
Indianapolis won the clinching game of the Triple A League Championship 14-8 over Peoria at Ken Griffey Jr. Plaza, to win the series 4-1.
"You feel like a little kid again, celebrating something like this," said catcher Jim Hays, who paced the Indianapolis offense and was named series MVP. "We take everything real seriously when we're on the field, but after a series is over you can finally relax a little bit."
Hays claimed the MVP by racking up 7 hits for a .438 average, with a .550 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.

Jansen Raps Fairfield for 5 Hits
Tuesday, October 12th , 2060
John Jansen put on a hitting clinic as the Albuquerque Cacti dumped the Fairfield Flash, 8-3, at Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
The Albuquerque third baseman made Fairfield defenders earn their pay, lashing Fairfield pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Jansen said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
John Jansen singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Tony Oliva in the 9th.
This season, Jansen is batting .314 with 63 RBIs, 53 runs scored and 25 home runs.
