The Pasadena Bumblebees had to overcome a big game from Albuquerque third baseman Bryan LeRette to leave Albuquerque Sports Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-5, in 11 innings. LeRette went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. The third-place Cacti now sit at 38-36.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Ruben Lagunas came to bat in the top of the 11th. Facing Albuquerque pitcher Tyshawn McRae, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Pasadena on top, 6-5.

"Our guys refused to lose," said Lagunas.
