The Waimea Wind defeated the Albuquerque Cacti, 4-3, at Albuquerque Sports Stadium today. Leading the charge for Waimea was third baseman Wilfred Brooks Jr.. He was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. The Wind raised their record to 42-26.

Late-game drama came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Aaron McGinnis, hit a run-scoring double. It helped Waimea seize the win.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Brooks Jr. said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
