|
The Detroit Death Stars beat the Antioch Coal Miners, 9-3, at The Coal Mine. The Death Stars got a fine performance from third baseman Douglas Tipping, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Pedro Cerna was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 7 hits, with 5 walks and 8 strikeouts. Their 41-31 record puts the Death Stars third in the TMLAAA Joe Torre Division.
