Even Tops Rod Dedeaux League Pitchers Friday, June 2nd , 2062 Lee Even of the 49'ers humbled hitters all season long and today celebrated as he hauled in the Rod Dedeaux League Pitcher of the Year trophy, the coveted Cy Young Award. The Long Beach State hurler held opposing hitters to a .177 batting average while putting up a 3-1 record and a 1.09 earned run average. He started 8 games, pitched 41.1 innings and struck out 44.
