Texans Get Close Win Over Moonshiners, 3-2
The Dallas Texans had to overcome a good performance from Asheville pitcher Kiyonobu Yamasaki Jr. to claim a 3-2 win at Metroplex Park. Yamasaki Jr. went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. The winner was Dallas reliever Gerardo Grande, now 4-3. The loser was Steve Blaire. The loss makes Asheville 35-34.

The decisive blow was delivered by Orlando Huerfano in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 37-year old right-handed pitcher Steve Blaire to win the game for Dallas. The home crowd went nuts.

"That's baseball," said Asheville manager Dylan Light. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
