Montreal Mounties Win ABL Championship
Thursday, November 17th , 2061
It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Montreal Mounties, that meant the ADULT BASEBALL LEAGUE ABL Championship trophy.
The Mounties took a 1-0 victory over the Houghton Gremlins at Mount Royal Grounds, winning their 1st championship after taking the series 4-1.
"We've got grit," said Mounties first baseman Chris Romanko, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."
The new titleholders completed the regular season with a first-place finish in the Thurman Munson League Billy Martin Division and a 96-66 record.

Manager Takahashi Terminated by Bighorn Bison
Tuesday, November 15th , 2061
Yoshihiro Takahashi knew that firings are part of the job, he just didn't think it would happen to him.
"I was stunned. I didn't think it would happen," said the ousted Bighorn Bison skipper. "I recently sat in a meeting with the owner and general manager and it seemed that my job was secure."
A new manager is expected to be named soon, but Bighorn has kept a tight lid on specifying any names.
