Stonebarger Thwarts Sedona, 1-0 Saturday, August 30th , 2064 Yuma Varmits starter Shane Stonebarger really did a number on the Sedona Sabercats, shutting them out, 1-0, on 5 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 3 walks and had 15 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Sedona manager . "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Stonebarger." On the season, Stonebarger has compiled a 7-1 mark with a 3.15 ERA in 11 starts. In pitching 85.2 innings he has 124 strikeouts and 37 walks while limiting the opposition to a .224 batting average.
