Great Stroke: Carrizales Gets 5 Hits
Monday, July 21st , 2064
There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day.
Leo Carrizales is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Montreal Cardinals at Martin Field. The monster effort from the 20-year-old second baseman helped the Savannah Peaches get the win, 10-4.
"We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Cardinals manager Emmanuel Even. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today."
Leo Carrizales singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Ricky Nunez in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
In the 2064 season Carrizales is hitting .359 with 8 home runs.
