Homewreckers Stymie Brooklyn, Take 4-1 Win
|
Moncks Corner beat Brooklyn on the strength of starter Jordan Sanchez's fine effort. The left-hander led his team to a 4-1 win. Sanchez went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 0, and struck out 9. His record improves to 1-1. Alex Guapo earned the save, his 6th, for the Homewreckers.
In the bottom of the sixth, with Moncks Corner leading 2-1, left fielder Roberto Trejo hit a 2-run single. The hit came off Josh Caldwell and put the Homewreckers ahead, 4-1.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Trejo.
Moncks Corner has now won 3 in a row.
