Nerio Whiffs 17, Wichita Tops Cooperstown Friday, August 17th , 2063 Jesus Nerio of the Wichita Storm put on a pitching clinic at The Storm Center, as he struck out 17 Cooperstown Legends in a 9-1 victory. Nerio was simply magnificent, holding the Legends to 3 hits. He walked 0. "I felt okay at the beginning," Nerio said, "but eventually my slider really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Nerio's performance, Storm manager Daniel Carrasco shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating." Checking out his stats for the season, Nerio has registered 3 wins and 4 losses in 7 starts, posted a 5.68 ERA, and struck out 56 batters in 38 innings.
