Great Day for Gosselin -- 5 Hits
Saturday, March 4th , 2062
Today at Brantford College Grounds, Wade Gosselin put on an impressive display.

The Kelowna Heat left fielder tagged Saskatoon pitching for 5 hits in 7 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on the spree and lost the game to the Saskatoon Legends by the score of 10-8.

"The loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it," Gosselin said. "5-for-7 ain't bad in any league."

Despite the terrific performance, the Heat manager was unwilling to offer the left fielder much praise, saying the "whole roster" is held accountable for losses.

"Wade told me 'Coach, I had 5 hits' and I said 'Well that's great, but it looks like we needed one more from you,'" manager James McKeamish said.

Wade Gosselin struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Steven Cooper in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

This season, Gosselin has posted a batting average of .420 with 47 hits in 112 at-bats, 15 home runs and 45 RBIs. He has also scored 32 runs, walked 14 times and compiled a .492 OBP.
