Rowdy Players Suspended by League Monday, May 1st , 2062 If there wasn't a history between Sean Halverson of Tulane and Chris Fox of Long Beach State, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 5 and 3 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today. "We're both really competitive," Halverson said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it." Halverson on the season is batting .324 with 10 home runs. His totals include 40 RBIs and 32 runs scored. He has played in 37 games. On the year, Fox has 2 saves in 9 relief appearances with a 0-1 record and 8.47 ERA. |
