Staples Raps Missouri for 5 Hits Wednesday, April 5th , 2062 All game long, Clemson's Devin Staples was rattling the walls at Ballpark of Ridge College and banging out base hits against the Missouri Tigers. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Tigers had a win, 26-12. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 21-year-old right fielder said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Devin Staples hit an RBI double in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Taylor Lawson in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Steve Mulder in the 6th, struck out in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Sean Miller in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 10th.
