Pendergrass Cracks 5 Hits Friday, March 31st , 2062 5 times is the charm -- at least for Nick Pendergrass. The North Carolina Tar Heels second baseman tore up the Clemson Tigers to the tune of 5 hits in 5 at-bats at Magistrates Ballpark. The offensive onslaught from Pendergrass powered the 8-7 Tar Heels win. "Pendergrass was a tough out," Clemson manager Jordan Leonard said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
