20-Game Hitting Streak for Ruiz

Carlos Ruiz, left fielder for the Brownsville Bandits, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 2 hits in his club's 17-2 victory over the Hazleton Birdwings at Bandits Grove.
"Not the outcome we wanted," Hazleton manager Roberto Flores said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Carlos Ruiz singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and singled in the 6th.
This season, Ruiz is batting .324 with 57 hits, 7 home runs, 36 RBIs, 38 walks, .466 OBP and has scored 38 runs. He has played in 47 games.
