Josh Thomas was the King of Swing at Franklin Mountains Field in the 19-4 Chippewa River Chiefs win over the Charleston Panthers. The Chippewa catcher stepped into the batter's box 6 times against Charleston and delivered 6 hits. It was a sensational game for him.
"Unbelievable feeling," he told the press. "It felt good. 6-for-6 isn't bad for your batting average either."
Josh Thomas hit a two-run home run off Bernie Moreno in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Bernie Moreno in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Francisco Miranda in the 9th.
