Welsh Superb Against Houston Sunday, August 5th , 2063 The Houston Sting were almost helpless in their 5-0 loss to the Hazleton Birdwings and hurler Robby Welsh. Welsh kept the Sting confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Welsh," Houston manager Barnabé Bacm said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 23-year-old right-hander had 2 walks and 13 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Welsh said.
