Gutierrez Wins Award for RA Dominance Monday, October 30th , 2062 At the age of 20, Efrain Gutierrez says he still has a lot to learn about life in SINGLE A. But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Moonbeam Martians reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2062 RCL A Reliever of the Year Award. "I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Omaha, Nebraska native said. For the season, Gutierrez had 25 saves in 45 relief appearances, which totaled 54.1. He fanned 83 betters, while walking 15 and put up a record of 6-0 to go with his 0.66 ERA. He received 28 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Randy McCafferty of the Hazleton Birdwings finished second in voting, while Tom Hughes of the Brownsville Bandits finished third.
