5-for-7 Day for Maxwell Saturday, May 13th , 2062 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for James Maxwell -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at The Corn Crib and paced the 22-7 Beetlecats win over the DeKalb Cornhuskers. After his dynamite batting performance, the Buzzard's Bay left fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 7 tries and put his name in the record book. James Maxwell grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jeff Oyster in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Jose Vega in the 6th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
