Shell 6-for-6 Against Sandy Springs
Wednesday, June 7th , 2062
It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Chris Shell. Shell went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Sandy Springs pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Albert Park, he had a 6-for-6 line and a day he will long remember. And the Wauwatosa Indians had a win, 6-5, over the Spartans.
"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.
Chris Shell doubled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 9th and doubled in the 11th.
For the year, Shell is batting .308 with 9 home runs.

Wednesday, June 7th , 2062
Elard Janssen of the Black Mountain Mountaineers shut out the Kelowna Rockets, 3-0, on 2 hits. He had 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing at Peak Park.
"He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw," Black Mountain manager Mario Encarnación said later. "When Elard stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."
This season in 11 starts, Elard Janssen has a record of 4-6 with 53 strikeouts in 79 innings and a 3.53 ERA.

Durocher Suspended by League
Wednesday, June 7th , 2062
The Clearwater Seagulls were not very happy with the home plate umpire in today's loss to Wichita at Chapman Field. One in particular -- Jeremy Durocher. Upon being called out on strikes, the Seagulls catcher gave the ump quite an earful. For that, the man in blue gave him the thumb and sent him to an early shower.
But the disgruntled Durocher lingered on the field for another five minutes, berating the umpire. Finally his manager got him off the field and into the clubhouse.
But it got worse after the game, when Durocher told reporters, "He was awful out there. They played 'Three Blind Mice' for him."
For his escapades and after-the-game oration, the league office suspended Durocher for 4 games.
For the year, Durocher is batting .197 with 29 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 15 times and driven in 9.
