Calgary Advances to League Championship Series Saturday, October 18th , 2064 On the strength of a dominant series from left-hander Joe Blevins, the Calgary Hitmen have eliminated the Thunder Bay Black Bears in the Divisional Series. Calgary won the final game by a score of 6-0 at Mckinley Park and took the series 4-2. Blevins was named MVP and had a 0.56 ERA over 16 innings pitched, with 17 strikeouts and a 2-0 record. "The pitches were doing what they were supposed to be doing in this series," he said. "I felt in control." It's likely not the last time these two RCL AAA teams will meet in the playoffs and Thunder Bay manager Qi-chang Ec said his club would be better prepared for the next matchup. "It feels like we didn't show up ready to win," he said. "That won't happen again." The Calgary Hitmen will play against the Antioch Coal Miners in the next round.
