Blevins Blanks Thunder Bay, 6-0
Saturday, October 18th , 2064
Joe Blevins was in a mood to talk following the Calgary Hitmen contest against the Thunder Bay Black Bears, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Black Bears, 6-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Blevins said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The left-hander blanked Thunder Bay on a 6-hitter, allowing 2 walks and racking up 8 strikeouts.
This season, Blevins has compiled a 15-6 record with a 4.89 ERA in 29 starts.
