Overby on Fire, 5-for-6 Against State College Monday, October 6th , 2064 Even as a kid, Ben Overby said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At LaGrave Field, Overby showed how well he learned that lesson. The 28-year-old designated hitter had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Fort Worth Cats, helping his team knock off the State College Swallowtails by a score of 15-2. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did." Ben Overby flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Chris Collins in the 8th.
