Bryant Wight had an impact in the 9-4 Fort Worth win over Anchorage. The 19-year old second baseman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Jonathan McMenamin picked up the win, lifting his record to 2-6 on the season. He struck out 9 and walked 6 in 5 innings, while yielding 3 runs.

In the bottom of the fourth, Ben Overby delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Fort Worth designated hitter hit a run-scoring single, putting the Cats in front, 9-4.

"It was a solid team effort," Overby said. "That's usually what it takes to win."

Fort Worth is now 60-77.
