Calgary's Newton Out 4-5 Months
Monday, May 26th , 2064
When Larry Newton was hurt against the Billings Mustangs, the Calgary Kodiaks were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 26-year-old starting pitcher suffered bone chips in his elbow throwing a pitch in yesterday's game. Team doctors told BNN today that Newton would miss 4-5 months of the season.
This year in 3 starts, Newton has recorded no wins and absorbed 2 losses. He has pitched 21 innings, allowed 35 hits, struck out 12 and has a 7.71 ERA.
