Joplin Stymied by Hernandez Saturday, September 15th , 2063 It was not a good day at the plate for the Joplin Fireballs. They came up empty when it mattered against Minneapolis Freeze right-hander Victor Hernandez, who scattered 4 hits across 9 innings and held the Fireballs scoreless. "We had 4 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Joplin manager Daniel Petro said later. Hernandez chalked up 3 strikeouts and 4 walks in the 1-0 Freeze win.
