Reno Wins, 5-4, Over Freeze
The Reno Raiders did just enough to secure a victory over the Minneapolis Freeze, 5-4, in 12 innings at The Ice Box. Nobody did more than pitcher Jim Curran. Reno pitcher Pat Neumann got the win, upping his record to 2-1. Mike O'Neil got the loss. The Raiders are now 83-63, while the Freeze fall to 65-81.

Reno used the hitting of Troy Tobias to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Raiders on top, 5-4. For the game, Tobias had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Reno manager Maziba Ewansiha.
