5-for-6 Day for Bourdeau Sunday, September 2nd , 2063 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Gabe Bourdeau -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Capital Grounds and paced the 15-5 Firebirds win over the Billings Mustangs. After his dynamite batting performance, the Albany center fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Gabe Bourdeau hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Hillman in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Carlos Montelongo in the 4th, singled in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th.
