Godec Bashes 5 Base Hits Saturday, July 21st , 2063 Who needs batting practice? Apparently not Indianapolis Ambition shortstop Ryan Godec, who missed the team's pre-game session but peppered the visiting Antioch Coal Miners for 5 hits come game time. The Ambition went on to take the 13-2 win. "I was late to the park and I wasn't sure coach was even going to keep me in the lineup," he told the press after the game. "Maybe I should skip BP more often." Ryan Godec doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 7th.
