Black Bears Prevail, as Triple A League Championship Goes to the Wire Saturday, October 14th , 2062 Thunder Bay Black Bears won a nail-biting series against the Calgary Hitmen 4-3, wrapping up the Triple A League Championship finale 5-4 at Mckinley Park. Black Bears right fielder Jose Ocampo was named the series MVP. He batted .318, drove in 1 runs and scored 4 to lead Thunder Bay into the next round of play. "Jose was real solid for us, real solid," said Black Bears manager Qi-chang Ec. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time." The Thunder Bay Black Bears will play against the Indianapolis Ambition in the next round. Indianapolis won their series against the Antioch Coal Miners 4 games to 1.
