Simmons Hot, Toreros Cold Sunday, September 11th , 2061 Tom Simmons pitched a strong game at Copps Park, blanking the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 1-0. Simmons, who is tied for 2nd in the RCL in complete games with 2, allowed no runs on 5 hits, totaled 5 strikeouts and gave up no walks. Manhattan manager Giampaolo Marcovicci said he could tell immediately it was going to be a good game for Simmons. "Right from the start, you could see how economical he was," Marcovicci said.
