Perkis Fires Shutout in Pharaohs Victory Sunday, April 24th , 2061 Tony Perkis kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Cairo Pharaohs were all smiles after winning, 11-0, against the Mexico City Luchadores at The Pyramid. The left-handed Perkis gave up no runs in his start, permitted 2 hits, and tallied 5 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Perkis said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." To date, Perkis has a 2-1 mark in 5 starts with a 3.86 ERA. He has given up 31 hits in 35 innings, struck out 29 and issued 14 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .237 batting average against him.
