Red-Hot Bruett Scorches Toreros
Sunday, September 19th , 2060
Andrew Bruett put on a hitting clinic as the Milwaukee Millers dumped the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-2, at The Mandalore Complex.
The Milwaukee first baseman made Cabo San Lucas defenders earn their pay, lashing Cabo San Lucas pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Bruett said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Andrew Bruett singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Alex Mata in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Bruett is currently hitting at a .295 pace with 30 home runs and 96 RBIs.
