Marauders Collect 9-5 Win Versus Vancouver
The Maple Marauders had to overcome a big game from Vancouver left fielder Luis Gallardo to leave "The Fort" at B.C. Place with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-5. Gallardo was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. With the win over Vancouver, the Marauders improved to 55-92.

In the top of the second inning, the Marauders grabbed the lead when John Fritch rapped a two-out single. Maple was trailing 1-0, when Fritch hit a 2-run single off Mike Ortner to put his team in front, 2-1.

"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Fritch.
