de Anda 5-for-6 Against Walnut Creek
Thursday, September 16th , 2060
Even as a kid, Arturo de Anda said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Magnificent Marauders Mansion, de Anda showed how well he learned that lesson.
The 27-year-old right fielder had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Maple Marauders, helping his team knock off the Walnut Creek Warriors by a score of 13-10.
"They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did."
Arturo de Anda singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Alex Romero in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and doubled in the 10th.
de Anda is batting .308 this season in 75 games with 8 home runs, 31 RBIs and 49 runs scored. He has 86 hits in 279 at-bats.
