It was a special day for Feitze de Rooij at Millennium Field. Not only did de Rooij's Houghton Gremlins beat the Chicago Eclipse, 5-1, but the left fielder hit for the cycle along the way.

The 27-year-old de Rooij racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 4-for-4 with 1 run batted in and 3 runs scored.

"He hit everything we threw," said Eclipse manager Zayar Adelabu. "There was just no getting him out today."

Speaking to the press after the game, de Rooij said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs."

"I got some good looks today," he said.

Feitze de Rooij singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Luis Padro in the 5th and tripled in the 8th.

This season, de Rooij is swinging the bat at a .281 rate with 133 hits in 473 at-bats. To date he has hit 13 home runs, scored 63 runs and driven in 71.
