Blazers Dominate, Sweep Round 2
Saturday, October 25th , 2064
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Thurman Munson League Round 2. It turned out quite a bit different.
The Bloomington Blazers swept aside the Walnut Creek Warriors to advance to the Round 3, winning the final game by a 2-1 score at Arson Arena.
The series MVP was first baseman Taylor Nunley, who hit .333 with a .368 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs.
"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
The Bloomington Blazers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the West Island Jazz - Eureka Hornets series. Eureka leads the series 3 games to 0. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
