Gil Thwarts Buffalo, 2-0 Wednesday, October 1st , 2064 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Buffalo Bison as starter German Gil shut them out, 2-0, at Arnold Field. The Jacksonville pitcher struck out 7 and walked 2 while allowing 3 hits. "Gil was good but he wasn't flawless," Buffalo manager Jon Green said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Jacksonville, but this is on us."
