					| Eclipse Suffer One-Run Loss at Jacksonville |
					| The Chicago Eclipse could not turn a fine performance from designated hitter Joe Pinkham into a win. Instead, the Jacksonville Pilots prevailed, 6-5. Pinkham belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. Picking up the win was Lewis Peterson. He went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits. The left--hander struck out 3 and walked 1. Kelvin Tolmie nailed down his 25th save.
Jacksonville second baseman Luis Velez contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a knuckle curve to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 31st hit of the season and put the Pilots ahead, 3-0.

"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said Velez.

The 6th-place Pilots now have a win-loss record of 64-69.
