Walnut Creek Wins League Pennant Friday, November 2nd , 2063 A classic and dramatic League Pennant has wrapped up, with the Walnut Creek Warriors outlasting the Asheville Moonshiners to advance to the ABL Championship. Walnut Creek won the final game by a score of 7-2 and took the series 4-3. "We can enjoy this one tonight, but then it's back to work and thinking about the next win," said Walnut Creek third baseman Bobby Tackman, whose standout performance earned him the nod as series MVP. Tackman hit .333 with a .419 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 8 RBI and scored 4 runs. The ABL Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the League Pennant finishes.
