Multi-HR Game for Ankeney in 10-5 Win
The Texas Longhorns and LSU Tigers cranked it up at Ballpark of Celebration College.

The LSU Tigers beat the Texas Longhorns, 10-5, at Ballpark of Celebration College. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop Brad Ankeney, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Corey Johannsen picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Santiago Melendez was tagged with the loss.

Nick Haas had a productive at-bat for the Tigers with two out in the top of the ninth. With the bases loaded, the second baseman drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The at-bat was important in the LSU win.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Haas.

LSU is now 9-15.
