Warriors Advance to ABL Championship Friday, November 3rd , 2062 The joy and relief on the faces of the Walnut Creek Warriors players was obvious as they celebrated their League Pennant win over the Houghton Gremlins. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Walnut Creek second baseman Johnny Roark, shortly after the 5-3 win that clinched the series 4-3. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the ABL Championship. Roark won series MVP honors on the strength of his .367 batting average during the series. He also had a .406 on-base percentage and 1 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 5 runs. The ABL Championship matchups and schedule will be announced after the League Pennant finishes.
