The Tioga Central Tigers downed the Canby Lancers, 9-6, at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS. The Tigers were led by Jeff Brown, who captured player of the game honors. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Steve Freeze picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-1. Jay Sherwood was tagged with the loss. The first-place Tigers have won 4 straight games.

In the top of the first, Jim Vlk hit a 2-run home run for Tioga Central. The 9th home run of the season for the Tioga Central designated hitter put the Tigers on top, 2-0.
