Billings West Falls Again, 3-1
|
Chargers center fielder Bill Dunlap left his mark on his team's 3-1 win over the Billings West Golden Bears. Dunlap, who is tied for 3rd in the PRLL in home runs with 15, was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles for Topeka West in the contest. Topeka West reliever Ian McCain picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Ron Crawford was tagged with the loss. The Chargers are now 24-11.
Justin Higgins came through with a big-time hit for Topeka West. The left fielder smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Higgins said (again).
