The Bighorn Bison weathered an outstanding game by Walnut Creek third baseman Bobby Tackman to topple the Warriors, 8-7. Tackman went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Bighorn is 5th in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division with a record of 28-36.

The decisive blow was delivered by Tony Mares in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old right-handed pitcher Juan Cruz to win the game for Bighorn. The home crowd went nuts.

"The fans went nuts at the end," Mares said.
