Pennsylvania Rallies to 5-2 Win
|
Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Pennsylvania Butterflies and Havana Stogies.
The Pennsylvania Butterflies picked up a win at The Humidor, taking down the Havana Stogies, 5-2. Starting pitcher Bruce Hauber was a big reason why. Hauber, now 8-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 12 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs.
Kevin Bennett came through with a big-time hit for Pennsylvania. The second baseman smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Bruce did what Bruce does," said Pennsylvania manager Aaron Barnes.
Pennsylvania is 4th in the Thurman Munson League East Division with a record of 34-38.
