Sasquatch Come Back Late, Nip Ramrods
|
The Seattle Sasquatch finished things off in style.
Dean Hrusovsky did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Huntington Station Ramrods from being beaten, 6-5, to the Seattle Sasquatch at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium. Hrusovsky was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Seattle reliever Dave Recer picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ben Benson absorbed the loss.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Seattle trailing 5-4, Ethan Morehead hit a fastball from Ben Benson to left for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Sasquatch had a walk-off win.
"What a buzz," said Morehead after it was over.
The loss drops Huntington Station to 4-3.
