Bison Stay Hot With 7-3 Win
The Bighorn Bison defeated the Vancouver Pioneers, 7-3, at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. Bighorn was led by 24-year old left fielder Jeff Tackett, who was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and a walk. Wes Stith picked up the win, improving his season record to 5-4. He struck out 7 in 6.1 innings. Bighorn occupies second place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division at 34-24.

Bighorn used a clutch at-bat from Tony Mares to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the first inning to put the Bison ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We are some kind of hot right now," said Tackett.
